Digital consultancy for the hidden side of the teeth
Ortodocera advises orthodontists on lingual treatment planning. The consultancy covers digital setup, bracket positioning and the design of indirect bonding jigs and archwires. Files are released to the producing laboratory only once the treating clinician has approved them.
What the consultancy covers
Three areas, available together or separately.
Digital setup
A target arrangement is prepared from the intraoral scan. It is revised according to the clinician's instructions and submitted for approval.
Bracket positioning
Bracket positions are determined on the lingual surface. Once the setup is approved, the positions are submitted for the clinician's approval as a separate stage.
Jig and archwire design
Production files are prepared for the indirect bonding jig and the archwire form. Manufacturing is carried out by a licensed dental laboratory.
Saklıtel
Saklıtel is a lingual bracket and indirect bonding system developed by Cihan Aydoğan, DDS, PhD. It received the Best Clinical Poster Award from the Turkish Orthodontic Society in 2018 and is used today by other orthodontists as well.
Ortodocera opens the digital planning experience behind this system to colleagues, through consultancy. The method has been developed and applied over years of the founder's own clinical practice.
Saklıtel is a trade mark registered to Cihan Aydoğan at the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
Scope and responsibility
Four points to read before sending a case.
Not a separate company
Ortodocera is a brand operated by Cihan Aydoğan, DDS, PhD. Fees are invoiced as a consultancy service under his own registration.
No laboratory service
Jigs, archwires and similar appliances are manufactured by a licensed dental laboratory under the applicable health regulations, and invoiced to the clinician directly by that laboratory. Ortodocera provides consultancy only and is not a party to manufacturing, sale or supply.
Clinical responsibility stays with the clinician
Setups and bracket positions prepared under the consultancy are proposals. Assessing their applicability, approving them and carrying out the treatment remain the responsibility of the patient's own clinician.
Patient data is handled without identifiers
Cases are tracked by a code supplied by the clinician. No patient name, contact detail or identity information is requested. Data handling terms are set out in the consultancy agreement signed with the clinician.
Clinician portal
A portal where colleagues upload scan files, set out their treatment instructions and give their approvals online is in preparation. Write in to hear when it opens.
